Other day had lunch with a friend in a famous restaurant in an upmarket area in Hyderabad - "Chutneys" in Jubilee Hills.
Had 4 (pleasant!) unique surprises not seen these days, all at once!!
Few minutes after we went in 3 young girls, must be between 18-20, came and sat at the next table. They were dressed like today's (rich) girls. No surprise there!
Now for the surprises.
Surprise #1 - All 3 of them talked only in Telugu!! I almost fainted. No "nayire"s No "you know"s, No "that thingy, the thingy"s, No "Sh.."s!!
Surprise #2 - All of them ordered thali and idli ...No burger, No noodles, No pizzas, No pastas, No fried rices!!
Surprise #3 - Only one of the girls got just one call on her mobile and she spoke briefly for a minute. That's all. No other incoming or outgoing calls on any of their 3 mobiles!!!
Surprise #4 - None of them checked up WhatsApp, FB or Twitter on their mobiles for the full 45 minutes we were there!!
I could barely take any more surprises that day:)
PS: Did we see "Aliens" ? :)
